I believe that all sentient beings have the same innate rights to life, freedom and pursuit of their life mission. I believe that all sentient beings have a mission. Whether we are talking about a human, a cat or a praying mantis, all have a mission and all have an innate right to pursue it without threat of harm or containment. My experiences with interspecies communication has intensified this belief. You can't communicate this way with animals and then eat them. But even though I believe this with my whole heart, and I support the Declaration of Animal Rights, I struggle living it out. |
